The landscapes, still life and urban scenes at Wilson Street Studio are by artists Helen Walter and Keith Thirgood. While stylistically quite different, both artists' have roots in Canadian Impressionism. Much of their output is of Ontario scenes; the disappearing barns of surrounding countryside, marinas and small towns.
Although much of their work is of Ontario, their collection includes work they've done in Quebec, the Maritimes, England, Paris, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Many of their paintings come in frames that Keith builds by hand, each designed to suit the particular work.
