The Woman Without a Voice
Francie McGlynn
(Sold!)

Women my age were often raised to sit politely with mouths shut. I still have problems speaking off the cuff and this painting shows that throat blockage. Instead all of the life/blood that might have come out in words is gushing out onto her hand. This is a woman who creates. The red bush like creature on the left eludes me. At times i think it represents one thing, at times another. Some stones are best left unturned I suppose.
