Living in and appreciating nature has always been important to me. Equally important is my love of travelling. I was born in the northern part of Italy. Because of my schooling, I lived in Venice, Pisa, and spent some summers in France. Therefore, the sea, the mountains, and historic buildings and houses were part of my adolescent years.

When I started to paint some 25 years ago it was natural for me to try and express on canvas the feelings I experienced growing up. Through the years I have used different mediums, e.g., charcoal, pen and ink, pencil and pastels, but I always came back to oils. It seems better suited to how I can express myself through my art.
