Although I've had a lifelong relationship with art, my career was primarily in high tech. The right brain/ left brain thing may seem contradictory but looking back, the common element was both pursuits required a great deal of creativity.

I was there at the beginning of the tech wave when anything and everything seemed possible. My career was transitioning companies from their traditional methods and re-engineering the way they did business to take advantage of the new technologies. There was a lot of creativity required to help them become more effective with the new tech.

To me this was a very creative process that has a direct translation to my art. The simplification and abstraction forces me to appreciate and understand what I'm seeing in my mind.
