Janet Zuzek has been creating art for most of her life, working in oils, watercolour, ink, and paintings on silk, both for her own pleasure and as commissions for businesses and individuals.
Janet takes much of her inspiration from the beauty of nature and wildlife and landscapes are often her subjects. Her work explores the symbiotic relationships between living creatures and the environments and ecosystems they inhabit. She is constantly inspired and invigorated by the dazzling variety of species our world holds and the glorious resiliency of life.
Janet was forced to give up her passion for creating art for a number of years due to serious health problems, and for a while thought that her life as an artist might be over. Fortunately though, the creative urge is a powerful force, and Janet was able to push past her physical limitations, and, after refining her techniques, is now back at it with renewed vigor, these days working mostly in watercolour.
Encouraged by this creative renaissance, in 2018 Janet began showing her work again and has experienced great success. Janet has attended the Pelham Art Festival for several years and is thrilled by the prospect of attending as an exhibitor, showing her work alongside the many wonderful artists she has met and admired at the show.
