KEITH THIRGOOD OPAS
The landscapes, still life and urban scenes by Keith Thirgood are stylistically considered post-impressionist, coming from the tradition of van Gogh, Gauguin, Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven. Much of his output is of Ontario scenes; the disappearing barns of the surrounding countryside, the wilderness and small towns.
Although much of his work is of Ontario, his collection includes work he's done of Quebec, the Maritimes, England, Paris, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Keith is a popular art instructor giving workshops at local art clubs across the province. Plus he competes in the USA on the American plein air painting competition circuit. He is president of the Ontario Plein Air Society (OPAS). His work can be found at www.keiththirgoodartist.com and his workshop information at www.wilsonstreetstudios.com.
