I paint landscapes in a modern, semi-abstract style in acrylic. I find color to be central to my art and I like to paint variations of what I see around me in the natural landscape. My work reflects the ever-present "quite world of wild grass and mixed up plants" common in the natural, windblown and oh-so-often coarse texture of the Canadian landscape. Nature abhors a vacuum and it seems that anywhere and everywhere there is an opportunity to capture a moment, if only one can see it.
