Babbling Brook

Rosemarie Armstrong

Babbling brooks meander through the Niagara Escarpment, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Biosphere Reserve. Home to more than 240 rare or endangered species, white cedars over 1000 years old, countless waterfalls and fossil rich ridges dating as far back as 450 million years. The Niagara Escarpment is the headwaters of five main river systems: Saugeen, Grand, Credit, Nottawasaga and Humber. Brooks, streams and rivers reflect the health of surrounding ecosystems.
